Summary

Benjamin LOUIS is a French Senior Principal Designer at Faurecia, a worldwide automotive interior supplier. He lives in Detroit, Michigan, and oversees the production of car interiors as well as internal research and innovation projects, forecasting two to ten years ahead. His daily job consists in challenging ergonomics, kinematics, costs, quality, and manufacturing constraints while infusing a proper brand styling into the design. Benjamin was awarded with a First Class special distinction in 2007 for his Transportation Design and Master’s degree at the RUBIKA School of Design, France, not only for his car designs, but also a 30-foot-long yacht (in production since 2007 and sold worldwide), as well as motorcycles, quads, and many other projects. During his free time, being highly curious and constant self-improver, Benjamin likes to step aside from today’s reality and unleash his growing creativity on personal projects such as spaceships, cars, concept arts, and obviously, last but not the least, mechs.

He also co-runs NUTHIN' BUT SHIPS as well as NUTHIN' BUT MECH blogs in collaboration with Lorin Wood and a handful of very talented concept artists.
